The Light Up a Life Service to remember loved ones in aid of Mountbatten, is today (7th December) at St Mary’s church at 3.00pm. All are welcome. Vicky Hastings from Mountbatten will give the talk and a collection will be taken for the work of Mountbatten

You are very welcome at the Advent Carols by Candlelight Service in St Catherine's Chapel this evening. We start at 6.00pm, and there will be mulled wine and mince pies afterwards. St Catherine's Chapel is in the Community Centre in St Helens, and the service will be led by Revd Bevaly and Andrew Bradstock. Your first opportunity to sing some carols this year, perhaps!

The December/January issue of our benefice magazine, 'What's On', is now available from the back of each church, price 60p. It is missing the services for Sunday 28th December which are: 09.30am Service of the Word, St Mary’s; 09.30am Sung Eucharist, St Helen’s; 11.00am Sung Eucharist, St John’s.

Responding to God's Love. We are continuing Advent Reflections around some of the key themes running through the Advent Season - Promise, Hope, Call and Fulfilment. Booklets are available from each Church (at a cost of £1,00 each) for use at home, with an opportunity to share in times of reflection with others through group sessions held in St Mary's Church Hall, Brading, at 6.00pm, on Wednesday 10th December and Friday 19th December. All are welcome and refreshments are provided.

There will be a coffee morning at the Community Centre, St Helen’s on Friday 12th December 10.00am - 12.00noon. There will be a raffle and a cake stall, donations very welcome. All enquiries to Sue 568761. Thank you

The Brading Community Nativity starts at Brading Methodist Church on Sunday 14th December at 4.00pm. Walk around the town (hopefully accompanied by Gary the Donkey) discovering the Christmas story as we search for Mary, Joseph and the baby, finishing at St Mary’s church with candlelit carols and refreshments. (If wet we will do more indoors and less outside!)
